My Modern Met was founded in May 2008 to create one big city that celebrates creativity. Since then, our website has evolved to become one of the top art+culture websites in the world, currently reaching 3 million viewers per month.
Over the last nine years, we've featured countless creative products that have gone viral around the web. Items like Shovava's beautifully patterned bird scarves, Talia Sari's gorgeously designed city-themed necklaces, and Clemens Habicht's striking 1000 Colours Jigsaw Puzzle. We're often asked by our viewers where they can buy items that they've seen on our site.
Now, with the opening of My Modern Met Store, we're excited to announce that we'll be able to serve you directly.
Along with providing our viewers with fun, creative, and clever gifts, we're excited to create a marketplace for artists to sell their products and bolster their careers. We hope that this encourages them to create even more amazing artwork.
We're starting out with a handful of products from some of our favorite artists and makers, however, our intention is to grow this carefully curated collection over time.
Located in sunny Southern California, you can trust that everything will be handled in-house by our team. We are committed to providing excellent quality products and service, so we'll be handling everything from start to finish, including inventory, boxing, shipping, and customer service. Everyone around the world can participate, as we'll be shipping internationally, with a few exceptions.
To further our commitment to supporting the arts, a small portion of our proceeds will be donated to a different cause every year, with the common theme of making art more accessible to underprivileged children and adults around the world.
